About Me

What's up Skyline!!! My name is Aarav Rattan, and I'm a current sophomore. I was born in Overland Park, Kansas. I moved to Seattle when I was 9. My favorite food is crêpes. My favorite movie is Dune Part 2. I am on track to taking IBCP, and my favorite subject is block.

I do Taekwondo, where I train and teach at TMA. I also do independent research on the brain, where I study the effects of micro distractions on memory cognition. I also founded my own nonprofit, which works to provide eye tests and glasses to those who can't afford them. I do these things because I love to do them, and I am genuinely passionate about them.

Why Me

I am running for ASB Vice President not for the resume boost, but because I genuinely love leadership and want to help make Skyline a better place. I believe I have the qualifications to do just that.

I currently do independent research on the brain, which has improved my discipline, critical thinking, and ability to look at things from a different perspective.

Although I was young, when I was in Kansas I led the IAKC Youth Leadership Council. We planned events for kids and helped set up the main event.

I have always loved leadership, and it helped me gain experience as a leader out in the real world.

Most of all, I care. I care about the school and your experience. I believe high school should be a place where students go not only to learn, but to make memories and enjoy themselves. This is what I strive to make Skyline. I also want to be a leader who is approachable and listens. I want to be someone who is open to feedback and criticism and is willing to change for the better of the students.

All of these are why I want to become VP and why I believe I am qualified.

I hope to serve as your Vice President for the 2026–2027 school year. Don't forget to vote Aarav Rattan for ASB VP!
